In the Fenix hangar in Rotterdam’s former red light district Katendrecht 62 international galleries and individual artists will be showing over 70 works on 5000m2. RAW EXPO is a sculpture exhibition on the first floor of this hangar. The exhibition coincides with the RAW ART FAIR, which is on the ground floor from 8 February till March 4. Both venues show art as it is meant to be in all its rawness. Art for everyone.
The exhibition floor will be transformed by theatrical lighting over the individual pieces. The docklands and the abandoned hangar will be the setting of an intriguing confrontation with the art works.
The sculptures and installations in the exhibition were selected by Piet de Jonge (former chief curator of the Boijmans van Beuningen Museum and Museum Kröller Müller), Ruth Horstmanshoff and Teodora Kotseva.
