Dry
Tech September 11th to October 14th 2007 Droog, Amsterdam Bas Warmoeskerken Chris Kabel Didier Hilhorst & Nicholas Zambetti Krijn Christiaansen & Cathelijne Montens NEXT Architects & Samira Boon Studio Wieki Somers Droog and the Delft University of Technology join forces for the third edition of progressive designs in Dry Tech. The result of this cooperation can be seen at the new location of Droog at the Groenburgwal. Ten years ago, Droog started the project Dry Tech together with the Delft University of Technology, faculty of Aerospace Engineering. The Knotted Chair by Marcel Wanders is one of the best known designs from the first edition of this project. The third presentation on Dry Tech confronts, like in earlier editions, engineers of the Delft University of Technology and companies from the same branch with a creative group of designers and architects. Together they bring the newest developments on high-tech materials and creativity to a higher level. The design proposals balance on the borders of the impossible and lead to unforeseen applications. droog at home, Staalstraat 7b, Amsterdam Tuesday to Saturday 12-18 hrs, Sunday 12-17 hrs. |
